Happy Holidays!
Take a deep breath. It’s been a challenging year for many, and now it’s time to relax and celebrate the holidays. We hope all of you are staying healthy and that you’ll find time to connect with friends and family. It’s so important to maintain these connections, especially when the pandemic has often kept people apart. We are thinking of all our wonderful clients during this special time of year and want to express our deep gratitude for your trust in us every day. Be well!
Axiom News
Axiom supports the Rotary Club of New Albany
Axiom was proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the 27th Annual Rotary Community Toast and Benefit Banquet, held November 5 at Huber’s Orchard and Winery. This year’s honoree was Dr. Dan Eichenberger, an Indiana native with 25 year’s experience as a physician, executive and health care consultant. Each year the club chooses an individual who has made “important contributions to the local area and exemplifies the true spirit of the Rotary motto, ‘Service Above Self.’”
New Concepts in Long-Term Care
When you think of long-term care, if you’re like most people, you think of a nursing home. Actually, long-term care (LTC) is not a physical place, but a variety of services designed to help people live independently and safely when they can no longer do so on their own.
So where do most people get these support services? Interestingly, here’s how LTC claims break down:
- 52% are for Home Health Care
- 28% are for Nursing Homes
- 20% are for Assisted Living
Today we have practical, new types of insurance that help pay for LTC, and we’re now incorporating this information in your annual review. These policies are designed to help preserve your income and assets by transferring some of the risk to an insurance company. In future Newsletters, we’ll be highlighting additional information on this topic. If you would like to personally discuss your situation, please call us anytime.

Dare to Care Food Bank
This holiday season, Axiom has made a contribution to the local Dare to Care Food Bank. We have also set up a donation page if you would like to help in the effort to fight food insecurity in our community. Did you know 1 in 7 people in Kentuckiana struggles with hunger? Just a single dollar donation provides food for three meals! If you would like to personally contribute or become a volunteer, click here.
Welcome to our new Senior Executive Assistant
Axiom extends a warm welcome to the newest member of our team—Senior Executive Assistant Laura Adams. Laura will be working most directly with CEO Vaughan Scott, while offering support for the entire company. It’s a role Laura is very familiar with, having served in a similar position for many years at Southern Graphic Systems (SGSCO), a global branding impact group. “I am so thrilled to be here,” says Laura. “The minute I did my interview, I felt like I was home. The whole team is awesome.”
