TIME TO CELEBRATE

There are lots of things to celebrate this month. It’s the third anniversary of Juneteenth being a federal holiday. The markets will be closed that day, so Axiom offices will be closed as well. There’s also Father’s Day on June 18 and some fun, lesser-known “holidays” like National Doughnut Day, National Kissing Day, World Juggler’s Day and National Selfies Day, to name a few.

And don’t forget June 21 marks the first day of summer. Have fun!

Axiom Updates

Teaching Basic Life Skills

Axiom CFO Leah Driver took part in a project called “Adulting Day” at New Washington High School in Clark County, Indiana. The purpose of the event was to help prepare teens for adulthood by teaching them practical and important skills like how to change a flat tire and mastering time management. Leah used her expertise to teach a session on how to file your taxes. The class was a big hit with the students, and most likely with their parents as well. In all, there were 25 classes offering valuable real-world experiences.

 Congrats to the Grads!

A big congratulations to recent graduates and their Axiom parents! Peyton Whitehouse (L), daughter of Managing Director Dax Whitehouse and his wife, Bonnie, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis. And Jacqueline Scott (R), daughter of CEO Vaughan and his wife, Jill, graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational and Business Psychology and a minor in business through the Kelly School of Business.

Meet Our New Intern

This summer marks the start of Axiom’s very first internship program. We’re excited to welcome two enterprising young students. You’ll meet each in our Newsletter. The first intern is Sean Broughton, a sophomore at the Kelley School of Business at IU. Sean is from New Albany. He’s majoring in both finance and accounting and is currently considering a co-major in business law and ethics. Though busy with school, Sean finds time to enjoy outside hobbies ranging from cars to sports to paying the saxophone. He’s even met his role model—Mark Cuban. Click here to find out about that and much more. Welcome aboard Sean!
