Tax Prep 2021
The often-dreaded April 15 deadline is fast approaching. While the tax deadline was adjusted last year due to the pandemic, this year the dates are back to the standard calendar. If for some reason you can’t file your taxes on time this year, be sure to file a request for an extension by the 15th. That way you will have until October 15, 2021 to pay any taxes you owe. To make your filing easier, click here to read some useful tips on how to prepare for tax season.
Cybersecurity Alert: How to Avoid Being a Victim of “Phishing“
With so many of us working from home these days or simply spending more time online, we think it’s vitally important that our clients are aware of cybersecurity issues and the phenomenon known as “phishing.” This is a scheme to try and gather personal information using deceptive e-mails and websites. The perpetrators are looking for data like usernames, passwords, credit card numbers or other sensitive information. Click here for some important, yet simple advice from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for ways you can protect yourself from phishing attacks.
Women Build
Many of us are familiar with Habitat for Humanity, but do you know about its program called Women Build? Since 1991, Women Build has given women the opportunity to serve their communities by learning the skills needed to build or renovate a home. Working under the guidance of construction professionals, this is a rewarding experience for both the volunteers and members of the community in need of safe housing. And in case you’re wondering—yes, men are welcome too.
Axiom Financial Strategies Group has been a proud supporter of Habitat for Humanity Clark & Floyd, Indiana since 2013. Our efforts have raised over $160,000 in donations and resulted in more than 500 hours of hands-on volunteer time. We hope you will join us in supporting the 2021 Women Build. We’ll be having an Axiom Build Day coming up this spring. Look for the date and details in a future Newsletter.

Kids Corner
If your children get excited about arts and crafts, consider trying one of the many creative ways to mark the beginning of spring by using materials tied to nature. What about making a pinecone bird feeder, gelatin leaf prints or flower crowns? The possibilities are endless. Here’s a great list of 30 Spring Activities for Kids from a website called “The Artful Parent.”
