Jac Scott Fitzpatrick
Financial Paraplanner
Jacqueline “Jac” Scott Fitzpatrick joined Axiom in November 2025. Growing up Jac dreamed of being a pediatrician, but during her freshman year at Indiana University, she gravitated towards psychology courses with a special interest in how they intersected with the business world. As the daughter of Axiom’s Co-Founder, Vaughan Scott, Jac was obviously familiar with the world of financial planning. She even interned with Axiom in 2020 researching how to effectively facilitate difficult conversations.
Jac graduated with a BS in Organizational and Business Psychology and a minor in Business. Her leadership ability was recognized at IU, as she was named Panhellenic Chapter President of the Year in 2022 out of 22 sorority presidents. Upon graduation she joined Mercer as an Executive Compensation Consultant in Chicago, where she specialized in due diligence and compensation benchmarking. Most importantly, this experience taught her critical analytical and client-facing skills.
Currently, as a financial paraplanner, Jac will learn the business from “the ground up” in order to be better equipped to assist our financial advisors in creating plans for clients, based on their unique needs and goals. She has earned the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ (FPQP®) designation.
She will also be overseeing Axiom’s internship program and updating our social media presence. She believes her experience as a Talent Acquisition Intern at PetSmart’s corporate headquarters will be valuable when it comes to revamping the program and ensuring training interns receive has real-world value.
Jac and her husband, Shawn, live in New Albany, IN with their two precious goldendoodles.

The Other Side of Jac Scott Fitzpatrick
What’s the Best Piece of Career Advice You Have Recieved?
“A great piece of advice I received at my first full-time job was “always say yes” — not in a way that overextends you, but in a way that pushes you. Saying yes to stretch assignments, new challenges, and opportunities outside your comfort zone is often where the most meaningful growth happens.”
What’s an Important Professional Goal You Have?
“I would like to earn the Accredited Behavioral Finance Professional (ABFP®) designation. With my background in psychology, I’m interested in better understanding how biases and emotions influence financial decisions. Strengthening this expertise will enable me to help clients better recognize their own behavioral patterns and make clearer, more confident decisions.”
What’s a Personal Accomplishment You Are Most Proud Of?
“One of my proudest accomplishments was racing in the Little 500 at Indiana University. As a rookie, I earned a spot on the race lineup over two veteran riders. We went on to place 8th out of 22 teams—the best finish for my sorority since 2001.”
What Are Three Words to Describe You?
“Passionate, Driven, Authentic.”
Fun Fact
“I’ve been a huge IU fan my whole life and named my dog “Hoosier” 12 years ago. When we moved back to New Albany, my husband and I decided he needed a companion. So, on my way home from the Rose Bowl in January 2026, I stopped in Dallas to pick one up. Our new addition is named Fernando—a tribute to the great QB and Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza!”
