Michael Elder President & COO
Michael Elder joins Axiom as the President & COO from his most recent position at Gohagan Travel, a private equity-backed business based in Chicago. Michael is a local to our area, having been born and raised in Louisville. He received his Bachelor of Science in finance at Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green.
Michael began his career in wealth management with Ameriprise Financial. He followed that with a move to ARGI, (which merged with Cerity Partners), a regional $1+b wealth management firm, where he worked closely with the founder to support corporate executives and their financial planning.
Over the last five years, Michael’s career has been focused in the private equity space, helping lower middle-market family businesses improve operations and drive growth post-PE acquisition. With expertise in finance, business improvement, executive leadership and board communication, Michael has consistently delivered value by optimizing performance and creating sustainable growth strategies.
Michael is married and resides in Prospect, KY with his three children. In his free time he enjoys being outdoors and loves to spend time on the water with his family and friends. Michael is active in Vistage Group, a peer advisory network for business leaders.

What Do You Enjoy When Not Working?
“I love to cook and grill for my family; my boys have taken a liking to this as well. I also love outdoor activities, especially being on the water as a family. When I have the time, I love the game of golf.”
