Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving Day is known as a time we traditionally celebrate the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Our present-day Thanksgiving is modeled on a feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people in 1621. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November.
A Time of Gratitude
This is the perfect time of year to reflect on the meaning of gratitude. In her book, The Language of Letting Go, author, Melody Beattie, has written one of the most often quoted thoughts on gratitude. It’s a wonderful reminder for us all.

Dare to Care Donation
To honor this season of giving and to show our appreciation to all of you, Axiom is making a donation to the Dare to Care Food Bank on behalf of our wonderful clients. This gift will make it possible to provide some 7,500 meals to families and individuals in our community who face food insecurity. The Dare to Care Food Bank partners with local food pantries, shelters and kitchens to distribute food throughout Kentuckiana.

Live Racing at Churchill Downs
Experience live thoroughbred horse racing at Churchill Downs this fall. Races start at 1p.m. Wednesdays through Sunday and continue throughout the month of November.
Lights Under Louisville
This one-of-a-kind underground holiday light show will take you on a 30-minute drive through a portion of Louisville Mega Cavern’s 17 miles of underground passageways. The event features more than 900 lit displays and over 4 million points of light. The spectacular event runs from November 12 to January 2.
