Q: How did you learn about the Axiom internship program?
A: It was about a year ago when I heard Axiom was starting an internship program, and I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. When I got the offer, I accepted on the spot!
Q: What are you most looking forward to learning?
A: I’ve always been interested to know how firms like Axiom Financial Strategies Group operate behind the scenes and convert their product to one that satisfies its clients. I am also excited to learn about the various tools, information and signals financial advisors use when analyzing current market conditions and how those affect each client’s circumstances.
Q: Where do you see your career heading?
A: I’m still open to many career possibilities, but I do know that I want to work within the financial services industry. I want to use the knowledge I gather from both IU and this internship to benefit others and guide them to financial freedom.
Q: Do you have a business role model?
A: My role model in this field is Mark Cuban. I had the pleasure of meeting him when he visited IU this past year. He recognizes the power that money has to benefit others, and his innovative pharmaceutical company proves just that. He accomplished this by removing all the middlemen who inflate drug prices in the U.S., which allows his company to provide cost-effective, life-saving drugs to those most in need.
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: I enjoy everything cars and sports related. I often go to car shows with my Dad in our ‘66 Mustang, and “Cars and Coffee” at Captains Quarters is my favorite local show. I’m also a huge fan of Formula 1 racing, enjoy attending IU basketball games and watching NBA games, specifically the Lakers and Golden State Warriors. Music is also a big part of my life. I listen to a wide range of genres and love going to concerts and musical events. I’ve been playing the saxophone for the past five years.
