Garrett Huber

Financial Paraplanner

Axiom is pleased to welcome its newest team member, financial paraplanner Garrett Huber. Garrett first came to the firm as an intern during the summer of 2025 and officially joined full-time in July of 2026. He grew up in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Public Financial Management and a minor in business.

While at IU, Garrett was an active member of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional business fraternity, where he served on the finance committee and helped build fundraising plans to cover the chapter’s operating costs. Being part of a group of like-minded students gave him room to develop his networking skills and grow professionally.

Garrett is no stranger to hard work. For six summers during high school and college, he worked on the seasonal sealcoating crew at his family’s paving business, Libs Paving, regularly putting in 60- to 65-hour weeks. Those summers built the work ethic he brings to Axiom today — a focus on getting a task done efficiently, and the determination to push through even when a job turns difficult.

As a financial paraplanner, Garrett assists the Axiom advisors in creating plans built around each client’s unique needs and goals, preparing them for client meetings and ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. So far, he’s found the most rewarding part of the job to be the collaborative environment and the support of his teammates.

The Other Side of Garrett

What are the most important skills you bring to your role?
“Through my previous work experience, I gained valuable people skills — how to communicate clearly and how to earn people’s trust. In this line of work, trust is everything. I want clients to feel confident that the details behind their plan have been handled with care.”

Is there a business leader who has inspired you?
“I would have to say my grandfather. He has an amazing work ethic and channeled that into building a successful paving company with 200 employees. He encouraged me to participate in hard labor experiences during my summer breaks, knowing they would be valuable to me later.”

What was your dream job growing up?
“When I was a child, I thought about how fun it would be to become an NBA player. I was also very curious about space and the idea of becoming an astronaut.”

Describe yourself in three words…
“Passionate, determined, resilient.”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
“I love running, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.”
