Expanding Our Offerings

We’re excited to welcome Charles Schwab as a new custodian at Axiom. This is in addition to our current relationship with TradePMR, which remains unchanged. As a new, complimentary platform, partnering with Schwab will broaden our investment capabilities, including enhanced access to select alternative investments. We look forward to sharing more details with you as we move closer to launch.

Axiom Holiday Party

The Axiom team celebrated the holiday season by gathering for a festive luncheon at Vaughan’s home. The delicious three-course meal was catered by Chef Casey from Chef It Up. The first course was a Caesar salad, followed by Italian pulled pork sliders and kale/white bean soup. The feast concluded with vanilla bean creme brulee cheesecake with strawberry coulis. It was such a yummy way to wrap up another successful year.

529 Plans Pay Off

If you are saving for your child’s education through an Indiana529 plan, you have until the April tax deadline to make contributions for the prior year. Indiana529 savings can be used at any eligible higher education institution in the country or abroad, including 2- and 4-year colleges, graduate schools and vocational/technical schools. The plan can also be applied toward K-12 tuition and qualified expenses like certain fees, room & board costs, computers and course-related software. For more info click here.

New Trump Accounts

The Trump Administration has initiated a tax-advantaged investment account for children born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028. After a parent opens an account, the U.S. Treasury will contribute $1,000 for the newborns. Contributions of $5,000 can be made to the account annually. The child can’t access the money until they turn 18 and can only use it for specific purposes, such as paying tuition, starting a business or making a down payment on a home. Find more details here.

Retirement Planning Changes

If you are currently saving for retirement, you’ll want to make note of some major changes in retirement planning, starting in 2026. The two key changes involve increased contribution limits for 401(k)s and IRAs, and a new rule requiring high-income earners to make Roth 401(k) catch-up contributions. Test your trivia knowledge every Tuesday at Dog Haus Biergarten in New Albany. Gather your friends for two hours of Jeopardy! It’s free to play and prizes will be awarded. The fun starts at 7 pm at 415 Bank Street.
