Gloria Bommarrito – Senior Registered Client Associate
Gloria Bommarrito has 26 years of industry experience, 15 of which have been spent working alongside Vaughan Scott. She is a founding member of Axiom Financial Strategies Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, the precursor to today’s firm.
Gloria is Series 7 and Series 66 licensed. She also holds life and health insurance licenses and obtained the Registered Paraplanner SM designation in 2014.
At Axiom, Gloria is well known for the personal attention she gives every client. Earning their trust and confidence is her favorite part of the job. “I want the clients to understand we aren’t just here to manage their money. We also want them to feel like part of our family,” she says.
Outside of work, Gloria volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, both in New Albany and Louisville. She and her husband, Jimmy, have three children and one grandchild. The family enjoys spending time at their family farm in Henry County, KY.
The Other Side of Gloria Bommarrito
Main Responsibility
“I make sure all the processes and procedures are working correctly and nothing is falling through the cracks. I’m kind of like the ‘funnel.’ Everything comes through me and gets divided out to whoever needs to do the job. Then I go back to ensure nothing is put away until the work is complete. It’s important to me that our clients are receiving exceptional service.”
Biggest Work Success
“I’d say the biggest success is my partnership with Vaughan and building our team on our own. Other teams have asked us to train them on our processes and procedures. In our eyes, we’re number one at what we do, and apparently, that’s true in other people’s eyes as well.”
Hardest Work Challenge
“Transitioning to being our own firm. Now we have to take care of things like all our own technology, HR, payroll and compliance. Before it was always handled by a larger firm. For some work, we’ve hired third parties but we still had to research and find the best companies to fit our needs.”
3 Words to Describe You
“Organized. Detail-oriented. Accommodating.”
What You’d Be Doing if Not in This Job?
“I’d be a veterinarian. I love animals. I grew up with cats and dogs. With my family now, we’ve raised a raccoon, a baby deer and a squirrel. All of them were injured, and some were babies that had to be bottle-fed. Once recovered, they were released back into the wild.”
Something People Don’t Know About You
I’m a weekend farmer. We live in the city during the week, but every Friday we go to our 5-acre farm in Henry County, KY, right on the Kentucky River. We raise chickens, and we have a horse, a donkey, a pig, a cat and three dogs. It’s great to get away but hard to come back. It’s so peaceful and quiet there.”
